Morgan Caseman LPC, NCC, CSAT
Licensed Psychotherapist
I am a clinically trained therapist located in Decatur, Georgia and am licensed in Georgia, Arizona and Michigan. My professional credentials include Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). My clinical education began at Arizona State University where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I have a Master’s degree in Counseling from Northern Arizona University. My professional journey began in 2010 working at acclaimed residential treatment center, Sierra Tucson as a primary therapist treatment mood and substance use disorders. I transitioned from the residential treatment setting to outpatient care and continued to specialize in the area of addiction and substance use in Arizona for the next 7 years. In 2017, after relocating to Atlanta, Georgia I expanded my work experience to include adolescents in addition to adults, contracting with the DeKalb County Juvenile Court.
Through accumulation of knowledge, education and lived experience working as a therapist, I have acquired the skills and understanding to guide individuals in developing the awareness and courage to make changes in their lives. I am strongly committed to individual expression, social justice and a thriving community that makes space for everyone. I recognize that each person’s unique identity, background, race, sexual orientation, and spirituality shape their views and experience in world which is essential to explore and tailor therapy approaches to meet the needs and goals of the individual. My theoretical approach is largely grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and I frequently utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy the outdoors, spending time with my wife and kids and two dogs and am an avid beekeeper. Connecting with others and being an active member of my community are important passions of mine. I look forward to working together!
